Why was the Special Forces added to the USAR ?

I haven't been able to answer this question definitively. Here are some of the reasons, I speculate why:

1. There wasn't a place for Special Forces qualified soldiers to serve in the Reserves, after leaving Active-Duty.

2. There weren't any units for replacements and expansion for the Special Forces in case of war.

3. The units provided a motivated group of soldiers for the active-duty Special Forces Soldiers to train.

4.  The regional localities of units provided an established Guerrilla force in case of an invasion.

5.  The inclusion  was personality-driven by the individuals in the USAR .
