This project is dedicated to the US Army Special Forces Veterans, their families and the Special Forces Regiment.

This project started after I read the article "25 Groups in Special Forces", in the Special Forces Association's magazine "The Drop."  After reading the article, I had several questions and I realized there was not much material available on the history of the US Army Reserve (USAR), Army National Guard (ARNG) Special Forces units, and the deactivated Active-Duty Groups (77th SFG(A), 6th SFG(A), 8th SFG(A)and 3rg SFG(A)-in 1960s).

  

  

The "Shoulders of Giants" project was launched to fill in these "gaps" and document the history of the US Army Special Forces Active-Duty,  Reserve and National Guard Special Forces units, from 1950s to today.
